The triumph of 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games’ commercial operation mode has made a significant change of Olympic operating mechanism. The commercial value of Olympics got great attention, and the concept of “Olympic economy” emerged for the first time. During the five Olympic Games after 1988 Seoul Olympic Games this concept was enriched and became more mature. On the basis of the developed experience of other Olympic host countries, Beijing according to its own characteristics takes various measures to make a series of achievement. This paper will investigate the innovation and development of Olympic economy of China. Beijing’s practice is as follows:
1. Take the opportunity of hosting the Olympic Games to improve the capital’s sustained economy growth and the infrastructure.
2. Implement the Olympic brand strategy to enhance China’s influence in the world
3. Carry out the idea of green Olympics to enhance the capital’s industrial structure adjustment
4. Push on the construction of Olympic new developed areas
5. Take the opportunity of hosting the Olympic Games to promote regional economic development
6. Reduce post-Olympics risk while preparing for the Olympics
