Attaining financial freedom is an objective for most individuals.

2. 富二代 born with a silver spoon (in one's mouth)

跟它相对的,“出生贫穷”可以说“含着塑料汤匙出生”:born with a plastic spoon (in one's mouth)

He has never worked hard for anything because he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

She's a trust fund baby. Her parents probably paid for the car and the insurance.

3. 生意人 businessman/businesswoman

生意人我们可以用很多词来形容,如:shrewd(精明的),dodgy(狡猾的),hard-nosed(精明务实的)等。

She's a shrewd businesswoman.

They got involved with a dodgy businessman and lost all their savings.

If nothing else, Doug is a hard-nosed businessman.

4. 不甘示弱 not to be outdone

outdo是“ 超过,胜过”的意思,not to be outdone指的就是“ 不想被超过”。

Pat was wearing an outrageous purple dress, so, not to be outdone, I put on my new gold suit.
