科技及电讯公司将合作制订网络电视标准

　　Companies which provide television over Internet technology(IPTV)joined forces on Monday to set a single global standard, sothat allsystems would work together.

　　The Open IPTV Forum is backed by companies includingEricsson,Matsushitas Panasonic, Philips, Samsung Electronics,Siemens AGSony Corp, AT&T, Telecom Italia and FranceTelecom.

　　The nine founding companies said they want results fast andwillhammer out technology requirements by Septr and a first setoftechnology specifications by year-end.

　　If all IPTV systems work together flawlessly it should beeasierand cheaper for consumers to buy and use IPTV systemsandservices.

　　一些科技及电讯公司周一聚在一起成立了一个网络电视的论坛，希望借此能够为网络电视制订全球单一的标准，以便让所有系统都能够兼容一起工作。

　　这个论坛名为“开放网络电视论坛”，参与的厂家包括爱立信等9家公司。

　　这9家创始厂商表示，希望能尽快得出结果，在9月提出技术要求，以及在年底前完成制订第一套技术标准。

　　如果所有网络电视系统都能互通，消费者就能更方便地选择网络电视的系统和服务，且价格也更便宜。
