三洋因电池召回损失1700万美元

　　Japans Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd. said on Wednesday it is settobook a loss of 2.04 billion yen ($17 million) in its earningsforthe year that just ended to cover part of the cost to recallmobilephone batteries.

　　NTT DoCoMo Inc., Japans top mobile phone operator, said inDecrit would recall 1.3 million cellphone batteries made by aSanyosubsidiary because they may overheat and rupture.

　　The Osaka-based company is the worlds largest makerofrechargeable batteries.

　　Sanyo, which in January forecast a net loss of 50 billion yenonsales of 2.2 trillion yen, said it has no plan to reviseitsearnings estimates for the year ended March 31.

　　日本三洋电机公司周三表示，该公司上个财年的收入中有20.4亿日元(约合1700万美元)的损失，主要是用于处理此前发生的手机电池召回事件。

　　日本最大的移动通讯运营商NTTDoCoMo去年12月曾表示，要召回130万块由三洋子公司生产的手机电池，主要是由于电池可能会过热或破裂的现象。三洋是全球最大的充电电池生产厂商，该公司在1月时预计其06/07年度的营收为2.2兆日元，其中净亏损额为500亿日元。三洋电机称，该公司没有修正盈利预期的计划。
