海外网友寄语四川地震灾民：勇敢度过难关！

　　中国日报网环球在线消息：5月12日中国四川发生30年不遇的特大地震，造成了重大人员伤亡。世界上众多关心中国的外国网民、海外华侨和留学生通过中国日报网24小时不间断跟踪报道，及时获悉地震灾区的信息。截至13日晚12时，已经有6300多名海外网民在我网站上留言，表达了各国人民对我地震灾区受难者和家庭的真诚的慰问，并希望地震灾区人民团结在一起，勇敢度过难关。以下是部分留言的中文译文。

　　I got a call from Australia asking if I felt the earthquakeinBeijing. It was only then that I realised the "vertigoattack"which I felt 15 minutes ago was in fact an earthquake!Indeed I didat the time look around for signs of earthquake in theform ofswinging lamps etc., but things are so modernized these daysthataren"t any lamps dangling from the ceiling anymore.

　　I checked on the internet and congratulations to the HongKong"sMetro News, which already carried a report on the quake. Thiswassoon followed by CD online. Sorry to say Google News wascaughtnapping, not to mention CNN and BBC which although normallythefirst to spread bad tidings about China, were deep intheirsnores.

　　我接到从澳大利亚家人打来的电话，问我在北京是否感觉到了地震。直到那时，我才意识到15分钟前我感到眩晕原来是地震！我环顾了一下四周，寻找地震的迹象，如灯是不是在晃动，但如今一切都那么现代化，天花板上也不再有什么挂灯了。我马上上网，首先在香港一家网站新闻看到了此次地震的报道，紧接着是中国日报网的报道。非常遗憾的是，google新闻那时可能正在美国那边“打盹”，更别提CNN、BBC了。这些往往最先报道中国负面消息的媒体，当时正酣睡着呢。
