熊猫“甜甜”
新华网8月10日电 据《太阳报》报道，旅英大熊猫“甜甜”或已怀孕，这意味着可能在下个月迎来第一个在英国出生的熊猫宝宝。
爱丁堡动物园的饲养员注意到，熊猫“甜甜”最近情绪不稳定，胃口也不好—“明显迹象”证明四月份人工授精成功。

Keepers at Edinburgh Zoo have noticed the female panda is moody and has lost her appetite “strong indications” April"s artificial insemination was successful.
Iain Valentine, the director of the zoo"s panda project, said: “I think over the next two or three weeks, as the profile of the hormones and the protein is built up, we will get an even better indication.
“But at this stage we"re quite pleased with the way things are going.”

Keepers will not know for sure until just before the panda gives birth, which could happen within a month.
Michael Livingstone, one of the panda keepers, is extremely excited about the birth of a cub.
He said: “I think [the zoo] will just explode. I think there"s going to be a very big buzz about it.
“It"s such an exciting thing so I think it"ll go off the scale.”
An ultrasound scan would be the only way to know for certain if Tian Tian was pregnant but the zoo is being cautious not to upset her.
If she is expecting, her due-date will be somewhere between 24 August and 10 September.
