全球九成青年人希望政要应对气候变化(组图)

　　联合国环境署的一项最新调查显示，全球90%的青年人认为各国首脑应该采取一切可行的的行动应对全球变化。

　　参与这项调查的是来自巴西、印度、俄罗斯、南非和美国的年龄在12-18岁之间的青年。这个年龄段的人是未来国际气候谈判的生力军。这五个国家中，青年人关注气候变化的比率分别为巴西96%、南非91%、印度85%、美国82%、俄罗斯70%。

　　在南非、美国和巴西，大多数青年人认为各国政要没能为解决气候危机采取应有的行动（南非82%、美国79%、巴西73%）。相反的，印度青年人认为世界各国已经为气候变化做了很多工作，只有19%的人认为他们做的不够。

　　未来的14个月对于停止全球变暖异常关键。科学家认为我们的时间不够了，同时联合国计划在明年12月份的哥本哈根联合国气候会议上提出一个新的全球气候条约。

　　在目前经济危机的形势下，这个任务尤为艰巨。全球变暖是个综合性问题，它关系到发展、贫困、食品、人权、国家主权、贸易、环境及其他很多方面。最近，联合国的谈判由于各方的争论等因素陷入僵局，需要注入新鲜空气。

　　青年人能给谈判带来生气。尽管他们没有官方的席位，青年们在最近几次的联合国气候会议上表现得非常活跃。在2005年蒙特利尔会议上，加拿大高中生参会，并在会上举办研讨会来吸引视线，同时在美国代表妨碍会议进程时提出质疑。去年巴厘岛气候会议上，全球近百名青年人举行了有创意的活动，推动会议的进程。今年约有500名青年人计划参加波兰波兹南召开的气候会议，计划采取大规模的行动，包括谏言及通过数字通信来策划行动等。

　　根据联合国环境署的报告，越来越多的青年人感觉他们有能力改变政府对于气候变化的政策。在美国，几千名青年正在注册成为清洁能源的倡导者。全球范围内，新成立的青年人联盟正向着应对气候变化努力。（王淏）

　　It"saherculeantask,madeallthemorecomplicatedbythecurrenteconomiccrisis.Globalwarmingisthemostinterconnectedofissues,spanningdevelopment,poverty,food,humancenters,nationalsovereignty,trade,theenvironment,andmore.Currently,theUnitedNationsnegotiationsarestumblingforwardtowardCopenhagen,boggeddowninbureaucracyandargument.Themeetingsdesperatelyneedabreathoffreshair.　　Youtharewellequippedtobreathenewlifeintothenegotiations.Whiletheydon"thaveanofficialseatatthetable,youngpeoplehavehadanactivepresenceattheUNClimateMeetingsinthepastfewyears.

　　In2005,hundredsofNorthAmericanyouthdescendedonMontreal,CanadafortheDecrmeetings.IattendedwithtwobusloadsofstudentsfromMiddleburyCollege(theofferofafreeweekendinparty-capitalMontrealwasanaddedbonusforstudentsstuckinVermontforthewinter).Weheldworkshops,marchedaroundthemeetingsintogastoattractattention,andheckledtheU.S.delegationwhenitwasblockingprogress.

　　TheMontrealmeetingssparkedanewyouthinterestinthemeetings.Lastyear,fortheBaliClimateMeetings,nearlyahundredyouthfromaroundtheworldcametothePacificislandtoorganizecreativeactionstopushthemeetingsalong.Thisyear,around500youtharescheduledtoattendthemeetingsinPoznan,Poland.Plansforlarge-scaleactions,creativelobbying,digitalcommunications,andmoreareunderway.
