　　Brief Synopsis：The Japanese women’s Judo team could get five gold medals out of seven classes in the Olympic games in Athens. That was the great success of the team which has never done in any country. Japanese women’s Judo team was under developed for a long time. There were hard efforts of the people who related to the women’s Judo behind such splendid results today. One specific point which related to the victory of Japanese team was the Fukuoka In ternational women’s Judo Championships. In 1983, this event began and became the debut of Ryoko Tani who was 15 years old at that time. We closed in on the power of Japanese women’s Judo based on the stories of the trainers and the world Judo Champion Ryoko Tani.
