　　内容简介：2004年底，46岁的沈彩红遭遇了生命中又一次不幸：丈夫突然得急病离开了人世，留给她的是两个患有智障的女儿：大女儿叶秋媛，19年来从未开口说过一句话，没有生活自理能力的她需要全程照顾。小女儿叶嘉怡，今年12岁，唐氏综合症患者，目前在闸北启慧学校接受康复治疗。为了独自承担起抚养女儿的责任，沈彩红从船厂办理了内退。沈彩红参加了街道的一帮一计划，去为三户孤寡老人家庭做钟点工，每月可以从街道领取一定的报酬。小女儿小怡在学校老师的帮助下，学习进步很快。小怡对游泳表现出了浓厚兴趣，在老师和妈妈的支持下，她第一次走进了游泳馆。沈彩红终于作出了一个无奈的抉择，把朝夕相处了19年的女儿送到寄养院。。。。。。本片采用大量纪实段落，展开一个智障儿童家庭的生活断面，表现的是一位普通母亲的情怀。19年的含辛茹苦和坚韧努力，证明了母爱是一种割舍不了的亲情。

　　导演简历：金阳，1968年生于浙江，上海电视台纪实频道编导。曾先后供职于绍兴电视台和中央电视台纪录片部，此前主要从事历史题材纪录片创作，主要作品有《千里无人区》（入围中国电视金鹰奖）、《百年京剧与上海》。

　　张赉，1968年生于上海，上海电视台纪实频道编导。长期作为中国最有影响的上海《纪录片编辑室》的一员，从事人文类纪录片创作，最新作品《穷海》入围2005年上海电视节纪录片单元。

　　Brief synopsis:At the end of 2004, 46 years old Caihong Shen suffered another trauma in her life when her husband suddenly died, leaving her to care for two mentally retarded daughters. The elder daughter, Qiuwan Ye is 19 years old and has never spoken a word in her life. Unable to look after herself, she requires full-time care. The younger daughter, Jiayi Ye is 12 years old. She has Downs syndrome and is receiving rehabilitation treatment at Zhabei Qihui School. Having decided to take full responsibility for looking after her daughters, Caihong Shen applied to take early retirement. The Residence Committee understood her difficulties and found Qiuwan Yer a care home which could reduce her mother’s work load. But Caihong Shen was very reluctant to leave her daughter. Later, she joined a scheme called “one help one” which is organized by the Residence Committee, she cleans the flats for three single old aged pensioners in return for a small amount of money. She was a little clumsy when she started work as a house helper but she worked very hard to adjust to the new role. Her younger daughter greatly improved with the help of her teachers. Caihong Shen has no professional knowledge about educating her mentally retarded daughters. However she ensures her daughters are well looked after and satisfies their wishes as much as is possible. The 2007 Disabled Olympic Games are to be held in Shanghai. Many sports activities are being promoted in Jiayi’s school and she is demonstrating great interest in swimming. With support from her mother and teachers, Jiayi walks into a swimming stadium for the first time in her life. While Caihong Shen goes out the work, her eldest daughter, Qiuwan has to be locked in her home on her own. After being persuaded by her family Caihong makes the very difficult decision to send Qiuwan Ye, who she has looked after for 19 years into a care home. As Qiuwan’s departure date approaches, Caihong feels lost, but life has to move on. All her devotion and hard work over the last19 years has proved that the love of a mother is hard to part with.

　　CV’s of directors:Yang Jin was born in Zhejiang province in 1968. With previous working experiences with Shaoxin TV station and CCTV Documentary Department, he is currently a writer and director for Shanghai TV Documentary Channel. His productions are mainly focused on historical documentaries. His key works includes “Deserted Zone” (an entry at the China TV Golden Eagle Awards) and “Peking Opera and Shanghai”.

　　Lai Zhang was born in Shanghai in 1968. He is a writer and director at Shanghai TV Documentary Channel and a senior member of the most influential Chinese documentary program “Documentary Editing Room” team which is produced by Shanghai TV. Many of his documentary films take a humanistic approach to the stories. His latest film “End of the Sea” was entered into the documentary category competition at the 2005 Shanghai TV Festival.
